(a)
(b)
(c) CFCs
(d)
(e)
- (A)(a), (b), (c) and (d)
- (B)(a), (b), (c) and (e)✓ Correct
- (C)(a) and (d)
- (D)(a), (c), (d) and (e)
Answer: (B)
Solution
Greenhouse gases are those that absorb and re-emit infrared radiation and so trap heat. Carbon dioxide, water vapour, the CFCs and ozone all do this and are greenhouse gases, while molecular oxygen absorbs infrared only negligibly and is not one. The greenhouse contributors are therefore carbon dioxide, water vapour, CFCs and ozone.
