Solution

Time to reach maximum height is

t = \frac{u s i n θ}{g}

.

Since both projectiles reach maximum height in the same time:

\frac{u _{1} sin 3 0 ^{\circ}}{g} = \frac{u _{2} sin 4 5 ^{\circ}}{g}

u_{1} \times \frac{1}{2} = u_{2} \times \frac{1}{2}

\frac{u _{1}}{u _{2}} = \frac{2}{2} = 2

The answer is (C)
