Find the general solution of the differential equation

\frac{d y}{d x} = e^{x + y}

.

Answer: $e^{x} + e^{- y} = C$

Solution

Separate using

e^{x + y} = e^{x} e^{y}

:

e^{- y} d y = e^{x} d x \Rightarrow - e^{- y} = e^{x} + C_{1}

e^{x} + e^{- y} = C
